Canadian Cherries can be enjoyed from late June through until early September, and it is no secret that they are the finest in the world. Grown in the Okanagan and Kootenay valleys of British Columbia, these beautiful areas are blessed with the perfect climate for cherries: long, deep winters, followed by summers where we enjoy warm dry days and cool nights. This day and night variation in temperature extends the growing season, giving the fruit longer on the tree to create the large, crunchy, delicious fruit that we are famous for. In fact, these cherries boast some of the highest Brix (sugar) content of any on the planet.
The orchards are small, intimate affairs, and our growers have a true passion for what they do, living among their trees and working hands-on in all aspects of the operation. Our focus is quality not quantity, and as such we do not have the ‘factory farms’ that dominate many other parts of the globe. Our single goal is to produce a perfect cherry, loaded with goodness, every time.
As well as tasting amazing, Canadian Cherries are full of wonderful health benefits too, including powerful antioxidants with anti-inflammatory properties, and melatonin that works wonders for combating stress and aiding natural sleep. Our cherries are also an excellent source of vitamin C, high in fibre, low in fat (including saturated fat) and sodium, and completely cholesterol-free.
